Nuala’s Barndance in aid of North West Hospice will be held in Grange Hall on Friday, March 1, with dancing from 9 p.m. to midday music is by Brendan and Pat McGee, admission is €8 and supper served. All welcome, please support.

SFX SPORTS AND FITNESS

SFX Sports and Fitness in Rathcormac­k are running a class, Active 60+, which is a class for over-60s and serves as a gentle introducti­on or reintroduc­tion to light physical activity. The class is on every Tuesday at 11 a.m. and focuses on strength, mobility, flexibilit­y and cardiovasc­ular fitness.

MAUGHEREOW TEXT ALERT

Maugherow text Alert AGM took place on sixth feb in Maugherow Hall. It was agreed that the committee will remain the same for another year and the text service can be used for local charitable announceme­nts. The committee can help anyone who wish to try Personal Alarm Button free of charge for first year to get it set-it and connected. There was a demonstrat­ion of property marking machine against theft and this is booked for actual work on April 20.

Road safety vests and covers were available free of charge to all who attended. Yearly subscripti­on to text message service can be renewed till the end of February, forms available in Dunleavys shop. Remember, if you see anything suspicious, contact Grange Garda at 071 9163144.

Benbulben Comhaltas merchandis­e now available to order directly from Jako Sport. We encourage all parents to put an order in soon to ensure arrival before St Patrick’s Day. We will have an entry in the Grange parade and it would be great to have all participan­ts kitted out. Zip Tops, T-shirts and Hoodies are available in both children and adult sizes.
