Success for Sligo TKD athletes

Sligo TKD club recently attended the Irish Cup 2019 and enjoyed huge success in what was a big weekend for the club.

Six senior members competed on Saturday and 11 juniors members took part in their respective events on the Sunday.

Medals at the Irish Cup do not come by easily as the standard is very high, and for juniors it can be even more difficult as the divisions can be very big.

It can often take three to four rounds, sometimes maybe even more to reach the medal stages of the event.

Coaches Stephen Kohlmann and Mrs McCutcheon say they are very proud of you their members.

They also extended a word of thanks to Mike Guckian, Timothy Lynch and Ailbhe Murphy for helping on Sunday.

Sligo TKD offer classes in Sligo town each week on Mondays, Thursdays and in Easkey on Tuesdays and Fridays.
