CLONACOOL PLAYERS

Rehearsals are in full swing at present for the Clonacool Players production of ‘Don’t Tell the Wife’ which will be performed in Cloonacool Community Centre on St Valentine’s weekend February 14 to February 16. This is a hilarious three-act comedy written by Northern playwright Sam Cree. Further away venues will stage this great comedy in the following weeks.

CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Cloonacool Christmas Party will take place on Sunday December 8. Bookings can be made with Attracta on 086 3058844. Mass will start at 3 p.m. followed by a delicious festive dinner and music in the hall. Don’t miss this wonderful annual celebratio­n, book your place now.

CARD GAME

The Cloonacool card game takes place at 8.30 p.m. each Monday evening in Cloonacool Community Centre. Everyone welcome.

COMMUNITY PARK DRAW

The community park lotto draw for October took place in Brennan’s recently. There was no winner of the €3,500 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3, 14, 20 and 23. There were three matchthree winners Geraldine Grehan, Dennis Quinn and Mary McTiernan. Congratula­tions to our winners next month’s jackpot will be worth €3,600. Many thanks for your generous support, your continued support is greatly appreciate­d.

CRAFTERS GROUP

The Cloonacool Crafters group meets in the Cloonacool community centre, every Monday morning at 10.30. New members are welcome. The group have worked on card making, knitting, crochet and more, and members can learn new skills and share existing ones with members. Anyone interested in the group can call in any Monday from 10.30 a.m.

IFA BRANCH AGM

Tubbercurr­y IFA Branch are holding their annual general meeting on Wednesday, November 27, in the Yeats County Hotel, Curry.

Preceding the meeting at 9 o’clock, a talk on Mental Health and Well Being, will be given by Mr Tomas Murphy (MHC), and everyone is welcome to attend this. Tubbercurr­y IFA branch AGM will follow.

SEAN NÓS DANCING CLASSES

Sean nós Dancing classes are ongoing in Cloonacool Community Centre commencing Mondays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. All children welcome. If your child is interested please contact Belinda by text at 087 9044051.

TRADITIONA­L MUSIC CLASSES

traditiona­l music classes continue in Tubbercurr­y Family Resource centre on Mondays. Flute and Whistle for beginners starts at 6.15 p.m., advanced Flute, Whistle and Fiddle at 7 p.m. and Fiddle for beginners at 7.45 p.m. All budding musicians very welcome.
