COMMUNITY COUNCIL

We are holding our annual Christmas Sale on Sunday, December 15, Representa­tives of the Community Council will be calling to all parish houses in the coming weeks. ANNUAL PANTOMIME

Castleconn­or Amateur Dramatic Society present the Three Little Pigson December 6 and 7 at 7.30 p.m. in Castleconn­or Community Centre. Written and directed by Alanna Barrett. There will be lots of new performers on stage for the first time with Castleconn­or Drama Group so come along, it’s sure to be a great nights entertainm­ent. on November 29 and 30 and Sunday, December 1, Easkey GAA Club will hold their annual general meeting on Saturday, December 7, at 8 p.m. in the community centre. Club members, players and parents of underage players are invited to attend.

CHRISTMAS CRACKER BINGO

Christmas Cracker Bingo will be taking place in Dromore West Community Centre on Sunday, December 15 at 5 p.m. Raffle tickets are now on sale for the annual Dromore West Community Centre Christmas raffle. Tickets are on sale locally and through any member of the Community Council. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the community centre. Your support is greatly appreciate­d. The Christmas Raffle draw will follow immediatel­y after bingo.

LIGHTING UP DROMORE WEST

The lighting of the Dromore West Village Christmas lights will take place on Saturday, December 7, at 6 p.m. outside the Still bar.

YOUNG AT HEART CLUB

West Sligo Young at Heart Club are holding their annual tea dance in the Ocean Sands Hotel on Thursday, December 5 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Refreshmen­ts/ raffle and music with Gary O’Reilly from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Come along for an afternoon of fun and lots of dancing. CHRISTMAS MARKET/ CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL.

Easkey’s first Christmas Market and Christmas Tree Festival will take place on December 7/8. The Christmas Tree Festival is on Saturday, December 7, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Christmas Market December 8 from midday to 5 p.m. With over 30 indoor and outdoor stalls, there is something for everyone.

ST FARNAN’S GAA

The St Farnan’s GAA Club AGM will take place on Friday, December 6, at 8 p.m. in Dromore West Community Centre.

Competitor­s are needed to represent the club in the county final of Scór na nÓg on December 1 in Ballintogh­er Hall. If interested please contact Cultural Officer Seán Kilgannon.

Tickets costing €35 will soon be on sale for the clubs annual dinner dance in the Radisson Hotel, Sligo on Saturday, January 18, at 7.30.

CARD GAME

A Sunday evening card game for the upgrade works in the cemetery takes place in the school beside the church in Easkey at 8.30. Results from last Sunday are first Frank and Martin Kilgannon. SENIOR CHRISTMAS PARTY
