Choosing to stay in the NW after Christmas

HOME for Christmas? Why not stay? That’s the message from Tech North West’s “Choose to Stay” Recruitmen­t Day which takes place on Monday, December 23rd from 2-4pm in the Building Block, Sligo.

The event aims to shine a light on the flourishin­g career opportunit­ies available in the North West while living in a beautiful setting with shorter commutes, lower living costs and an escape from the pressures of city living.

The event is hosted by Tech North West, a group of tech companies, start-ups, innovators and educators based in the Sligo/Leitrim area, whose mission is to highlight the region’s growing reputation as an Irish epicentre of cutting-edge tech that offers great career prospects and a culture that values work-life balance.

With over 100 jobs planned for 2020, some of the companies who will be present on the day include indigenous tech houses Cora Systems, Trojan IT and Clanwillia­m Health, multi-nationals Overstock, E3 Retail and ASG, as well as exciting start-ups such as Frankli.

Speaking about the event, Tech North West Chairman David Kenny: “I think people will be genuinely surprised at the level of innovation here and the world class talent that is already returning to the North West.

“There is a real high-tech ecosystem developing here and it’s a really compelling career move for those interested in being here that have the right skills and experience”

The “Choose to Stay” Recruitmen­t Day kicks off at 2pm talks from the participat­ing companies and will wrap up with some networking.
