DECEMBER SOCIAL DANCE

The December Social Dance in the Skreen-Dromard Community Centre will take place on Saturday, December 28. Music on the night will be supplied by Medicine Bow. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a night of dancing and great music.

CAR TREASURE HUNT

A Fundraisin­g Car Treasure Hunt in aid of the ongoing upkeep and Repair Fund for the Church of Ireland old School House Skreen will take place on St Stephen’s Day. The Hunt starts at the old School House Skreen at 1 p.m. The entry fee is €20 per car and refreshmen­ts will be served afterwards in the School House. DRAMA GROUP

The Skreen-Dromard Dram Group will stage their latest production 20/20 Vision in the community centre Skreen on Friday Saturday and Sunday, January 10, 11th and 12th. The show starts at 8 p.m. and doors open at 7.30 p.m. Tickets can be got by contacting 087 6806905 or from any cast member. Tickets can also be got on the door on the night.

The play will also be staged in the Hawk’s Well Theatre Sligo on February 15 Tickets to this show either at the community centre Skreen or at the Hawk’s Well Theatre Sligo would make ideal Christmas gift.

ST MARY’S COLLEGE FAYRE

The parents’ associatio­n of St Mary’s College Ballisodar­e gratefully thank everyone who supported in any way their recently held Christmas Fayre. This was their first Fayre and was a great success. Well done to all involved.

Tireragh CCÉ Christmas concert on Friday, December 27, at 7 p.m. in the community centre Dromore West. Everyone welcome.

FUNDRAISER FOR SHOUT.

The recently held Ladies Lunch Day at the Diamond Coast Hotel Enniscrone for SHOUT (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust). raised €16,346 for the group. Thanks to everyone who supported this event in any way.

Deepest sympathy is extended to Fr, Michael O’Horo (retired parish priest of Skreen-Dromard Parish) Templeboy and the O’Horo and Moore families on the recent death of his sister Noreen Moore, late of Ardagh, County Mayo.
