COMMUNITY GAMES

Riverstown Community Games forms have been circulated to the four local national schools. Parents should sign and ensure that all children have returned their Community Games forms or they will be unable to enter upcoming events.

Anyone outside of the school but wishing to take part in Community Games events should call 086 8258525.

Forms should be completed, signed and returned to local schools, Iris Murphy, Noreen McDermott or Ann Kelly.

SLIGO FOLK PARK

Social Club meeting every Wednesday morning 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. €5 per person. Café open daily Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily two-course special only €10. All day breakfast, homemade bakes, tea and coffee. Sit in service or take away. Phone Stewart at 083 3702218 to order.

TAUNAGH NS

Taunagh National School is located in the heart of Riverstown, County Sligo and is currently enrolling for September 2020. The school promotes a caring and supportive environmen­t where children are encouraged to think independen­tly, respect one another and value diversity.

SOOEY NS ENROLMENT

Parents and children wishing to enrol in Sooey National School for September 2020 are invited to visit the school on Friday, February 28, from 2.15 p.m. to 3 p.m. This will give the children an opportunit­y to meet their fellow pupils and the teachers in the school. GLEANN REUNION

The Gleann reunion committee have been overwhelme­d by the response of people who sent in articles, photos, short stories etc for the book. Material for the book is now being sorted and everything is finding its place in the book. The committee are hard at work and the excitement is growing in our wider community too.

Remember to keep Sunday, April 12, free for the launch and reunion of past pupils. With this in mind and as the book will soon be going to print, anyone who would like to sponsor the book in any way may do so now and all sponsors will be acknowledg­ed in the book.
