ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

The annual West Sligo Three Village St Patrick’s Day parade will take place on Tuesday, March 17, starting in Enniscrone at 1 p.m., Easkey at 3 p.m. and on to Dromore West for their 4.30 p.m. parade. All Local Businesses and groups in West Sligo are encouraged to participate in the parade.

In Easkey we ‘PROMOTE LOCAL’ and we feel that our parade is a good way to get your name, out there and advertise your business. A ‘blinged-up’ car or a van with a big sign, advertising your services on it would even be enough. If making a float is too daunting then why not dress up and walk behind a banner. Children’s prams, buggies, bikes and scooters etc. can also be ‘blinged-up’ with balloons and streamers and they can the walk in the parade to add to the fun of the occasion and give children the thrill of participating in a parade.

DROMORE WEST PARADE

The Dromore West St Patrick’s Day parade will be taking place on Tuesday, March 17, commencing at 4.15 p.m. (parade entrants are asked to gather from 3.30 p.m. from Dromore West Church). If you are not partaking in the parade, we hope to see you on the streets celebrating with us. There will be refreshments and entertainment in the Dromore West Community Centre immediately after the parade.

To keep ‘Green’, we are asking all parade entrants and the businesses to come up with Eco-friendly and sustainable ideas for this year’s parade. We are also asking all businesses to help promote St Patrick’s Day by helping to decorate their shop fronts and businesses in a sustainable way. In conjunction with the Tidy Towns, we will once again be supporting an Environmentally Friendly parade, which means we will be displaying Irish flags
