The Sligo Park looking to future
All of Sligo’s hotels have closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak including one of the oldest, The Sligo Park Hotel on Pearse Road. Due to the continuing outbreak of COV
It closed its doors on St Patrick’s Day and like other establishments is in wait and see mode.
In a statement, the hotel said: “We know that you will all understand this is not a decision we have taken lightly. The hotel will continue to have an administration team in place during this period to answer queries and provide any info needed by customers or suppliers.”
Mr Gerard Moore, General Manager and Director of the Sligo Park Hotel, said: “This decision in the best interests of our staff and customers.
“We must all contribute to what is now an urgent national effort to contain and reduce the spread of COVID 19.
“This is a rapidly evolving situation that is sure to impact all of us in some way but the measures we are taking now can help us all through this situation and ensure that we all come back stronger than ever.:
“We therefore ask everyone to please abide by, and listen to, the daily advice from our Government and the HSE to protect our employees and clients during this period.
“As general manager/director, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your co-operation and understanding and apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
“The most important thing of all is this: please stay safe and look after yourselves and our community.
“We look forward to welcoming you back to The Sligo Park Hotel in the very near future”
