Man charged following drug seizure
A man has been charged following the seizure of over €60,000 worth of drugs in Sligo over the weekend.
Sligo Gardaí carried out a number of search warrants on Saturday, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
As a result of these searches an estimated €60,000 worth of Cannabis was seized, along with ecstasy tablets valued at €500 and a large sum of cash.
The man was arrested and brought to Ballymote Garda Station for questioning.
He has since been charged to appear at Sligo District Court in the near future.
Garda Siochána Sligo/Leitrim said on Facebook: “This is all part of ongoing efforts of your local Gardaí to tackle the sale and supply of illegal drugs in Sligo and surrounding areas.”
