Had cocaine worth €50 during Rag week in Sligo

A 23-year-old man who was caught in possession of cocaine during RAG week last year has been given the benefit of the Probation Act.

Evan Kerrigan of Gortnagreg­ory, Glencar received the Probation Act for possession of €50 worth of cocaine.

The court heard on March 4 th, 2019 during RAG week at Glencarrai­g, gardaí observed him running from one house to another and looking around nervously.

Judge Kilrane applied the Probation Act after he directed

Kerrigan to donate €100 to Hope House.

In an unrelated matter, a 29 year old man has been convicted of drug possession after he was found with €70 worth of cocaine.

Marlee Conway with an address in Caltragh was found with the drug on Ted Nealon Rd on March 6 th, 2019.

The court heard Conway had 12 previous conviction­s, however he had none for drug possession.

Judge Kevin Kilrane convicted him, fining him €100.
