Had cocaine worth €50 during Rag week in Sligo

A 23-year-old man who was caught in possession of cocaine during RAG week last year has been given the benefit of the Probation Act.

Evan Kerrigan of Gortnagregory, Glencar received the Probation Act for possession of €50 worth of cocaine.

The court heard on March 4 th, 2019 during RAG week at Glencarraig, gardaí observed him running from one house to another and looking around nervously.

Judge Kilrane applied the Probation Act after he directed

Kerrigan to donate €100 to Hope House.

In an unrelated matter, a 29 year old man has been convicted of drug possession after he was found with €70 worth of cocaine.

Marlee Conway with an address in Caltragh was found with the drug on Ted Nealon Rd on March 6 th, 2019.

The court heard Conway had 12 previous convictions, however he had none for drug possession.

Judge Kevin Kilrane convicted him, fining him €100.
