IFFPG Farm Plastics will be holding plastic collection­s at Flannely’s Yard, Finod on Thursday, July 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and at Eamon Burke Ltd, Skreen on July 9 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

BELTRA COUNTRY MARKET

Beltra Country Market is open again on Saturday mornings at 10.30 a.m. to 12. 30 with all the usual items and stalls. Cris, Maggie and the Dragonfly truck will be there for take-away tea, coffee, crepes and snacks till it is permitted to open the tearoom again.

Congratula­tions to the sixth class group from Killeenduf­f National School, best of luck to Anna, Daniel, Kate, Rian and Sarah and every success as they move on to the next stage of their education.

Thanks so much to all who took part in the drive by at the school on Friday, June 19.It was fantastic to see a community spirit in these strange times.

THE LATE MIKE WALL RIP

The death has taken place of Mike Wall, Owenbeg, and Easkey. Predecease­d by his parents Peter and Kate Wall of Oghill, Culleens. Michael (Mike) sadly missed by his brothers Peter (Dunmore, Co. Galway), Vincent (Oghill, Culleens), Walter (Glann, Culleens), Leo (Birmingham), TJ (South Wales), sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral cortege left McGowan’s funeral home, Ballina on Wednesday, June 24, arriving to the Church of the holy family, Kilglass for midday requiem

Mass with burial afterwards in St Patrick’s cemetery.

DIED IN ENGLAND

The death has taken place of William McDonnell, Birmingham, England and late of Grangebeg, Templeboy. Requiem Mass was held in the Church of our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Dromore West. Burial afterwards in Churchill Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to his cousins Martin McDonnell, Dromore West and Mary McDonnell, Templeboy.

USED CLOTHES COLLECTION

Easkey/St Farnan’s hurling club are having a collection of used clothes, curtains, towels, bed linen, hats, caps, scarfs, bags, paired shoes for. No duvets or pillow please. Bags can be left into the old factory in Easkey during work hours please. Thanks for your support.

CÚL CAMPS TO AHEAD

The GAA have confirmed that Cúl Camps will go ahead this year. Easkey camp will be held from July 27 to July 31. You may only attend one camp. All registrati­on must be done online, no walk in will be accepted on the day. Online booking at kelloggscu­lcamps.gaa.ie/

WORKS AT AUGHRIS LOOP WALK

Improvemen­t works has commenced this week to the Aughris Coastal Loop walk. Aughris Head is a scenic headland in West Sligo; A Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point has been erected here to highlight the significan­ce and beauty of the area. Aughris is home to the highest sea cliffs in all of Co. Sligo, reaching an impressive height of 30m above sea level with great views.

KILGLASS ENNISCRONE UNITED FC

At a recent KEUFC committee meeting it was decided that the FAI summer camp due this August has been cancelled. It is not viable under current safety guidelines. We are disappoint­ed as we sure many kids are but we believe it is the correct decision and hopeful we will be able to run it next year. We updated the names on seats on our ‘Eddie and Gerry’ stand a big thank you to all that have supported the project to date.
