THE Covid-19 pandemic has changed all of our lives in some shape or form, and it is likely that life as we knew it will be different going forward.

There may not be drastic alterations, but basics of the last few months such as social distancing and hand hygiene is likely to remain central in society for some time.

Other areas that have increased in importance hugely over the course of the last number of months is the like of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), cleaning services and signage. In addition, for those of us working in an office setting, we have to think more about use of equipment and implements in an office environment.

We are fortunate here in the North West that many businesses are able to provide the services and equipment we require to make sure that we adapt in the best and most efficient way to the challenges of the ‘new normal’.

PPE is a term that few of us were used to accustomed too at the start of this year, but it has become such an important part of our life that it is now commonly known and vital to daily life.

The wearing of gloves and a face covering is important to ensure that we remain as safe as possible as we return to society, in order to protect ourselves and others.

For business owners, it will be absolutely essential to have all the necessary signage in place to adhere to social distancing guidelines, and to ensure that employees understand and are made aware of the new requirements posed by Covid-19. This may include entirely new signage.

Similarly, businesses will require deep cleaning on a more regular basis. This will be the case across the board, particularly in outlets with lots of staff and interaction with customers. There are a number of cleaning companies providing such a service, and will do so at the frequency needed to meet your needs.

Office equipment, too, may require a new look. The idea of sharing stationary and utensils is now gone - perhaps a new delivery of same will allow everyone to have their own equipment, instead of sharing, therefore minimising risk further.

Whatever your needs, one of Sligo’s businesses will offer the solution.
