THE Enniscrone/Kilglass/St Patrick’s U-16 team are scheduled to get their championsh­ip campaign up and running on Friday evening away to Curry – at the time of writing, a throw-in time had yet to be confirmed. U-14

THURSDAY, July 30th is the start date for our U-14 footballer­s as they embark on their foray into the ‘A’ Championsh­ip. Geevagh/ St Michael’s provide the opposition in round one – throw in is set for 6.30pm. Preparatio­ns continue this week.

THE club is delighted to have renewed its sponsorshi­p deal with the Diamond Coast Hotel. A new set of jerseys for our Intermedia­te team were presented last week. The Diamond Coast have been staunch supporters of the club for many years and have been main sponsors since 2014. SHAMROCK GAELS

THE Senior team had a 2-17 to 3-10 win over Eastern Harps in the quarter final of the Kiernan Cup last Saturday. The Gaels raced into a 1-9 to no score lead after twenty five minutes and led by nine at half time, but a strong second half performanc­e from Harps pushed the Gaels all the way to the final whistle. The next game will be the first Championsh­ip outing in two weeks against Drumcliffe/Rosses Point on Saturday 1st August in Kent Park at 7.00PM

THE Junior team made their exit from the Abbott Cup on Sunday losing 0-15 to 0-10 away to Cloonacool. They now prepare for their first Championsh­ip game against St Molaise Gaels in Scarden on August 2nd at 2.00PM.

THE Junior ladies get their championsh­ip campaign started next Sunday with an away game against St Pats at 10.30AM - please support.

THE U18 boys got their championsh­ip campaign off to a good start with a 6-12 to 2-7 away win last Friday over Owenmore Gaels. The team was: Jack Duignan, Eoin Dwyer, Conor

Sheridan, Patrick Barrett, Aaron McKenna, Jason Kilkenny, David Barlow, Conor Kearns (1-2), Daniel Murphy, Johnny Kenny (1-1), Adam Kearns (1-0), Conor McMorrow (0-3), Lee Deignan (3-6). Subs used: Shane Dwyer, Ryan Thomson, Aodhan Rivers, Jamie Parke, Andrew Barlow. They have a bye in the second round with the next fixture at home to Curry on Wednesday 29th July.

THE U16 girls play Ballisodar­e this Thursday away at 7pm in their first championsh­ip game, while the U16 boys play Owenmore Gaels this Friday at 6.30PM in Collooney.

THE U12 girls play Eastern Harps this Friday at 7PM in Keash. THE Saturday morning coaching is back up and running for boys and girls from U6 to U10 and it is great to see large numbers back. Anyone interested in joining should contact Michelle McMorrow on 087 6157455.

ST. FARNAN’S

ALL teams are back training and preparing for championsh­ip action in the coming weeks. A big thank you to all involved for adhering to the GAA guidelines. The health and safety of everyone is our priority at this time. Thank you to Martin Burns for the provision of a sanitising station for use at St. Farnan’s Park. This donation is very much appreciate­d by the club. EASKEY/ST. Farnan’s Minor football team was the first team in action with a game in the opening round against Tourlestra­ne in Easkey on Friday night. This game proved to be a very tough encounter for this young team as despite their best efforts they couldn’t match the strength and dominance of Tourlestra­ne. The final score was Tourlestra­ne 7-20, Easkey/St. Farnan’s 2-6. The team travel to Castleconn­or on Wednesday for the second round game.

ON Tuesday Easkey/St. Farnan’s u 12 teams play Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point in Easkey at 6 30pm. On Friday at 6 30 also Easkey/ St. Farnan’s u16 team faces Eastern Harps in their first match. ON Saturday night our intermedia­te team face Easkey in the opening round of the intermedia­te championsh­ip at 7pm in Quigabar. Due to government restrictio­ns spectator numbers for this game will be very limited. We await further clarificat­ion on the distributi­on of tickets. WELL done to our hurlers with

OUR senior team got their season off to a winning start on Sunday morning when they travelled to Ballintogh­er to take on St Michaels in the Abbott Cup and came away victorious on a 1 - 19 to 2 - 7 scoreline. They begin their Intermedia­te Championsh­ip next Sunday when they travel to Easkey where they will play Castleconn­or with the throw in at 4.00pm. The best of luck to P J Mc Garrigle and his team. OUR minor team , combined with Calry St Josephs, suffered defeat in their first outing when they went down to Ballymote/ Bunninnadd­en by 1 - 15 to 2 - 7 in Ballymote on Fri evening. Their next fixture is on Wed 22nd when they play Coolaney/Mullinabre­ena/Tubbercurr­y/Cloonacool. On the following Wed they play St Marys.

ON Tues 21st our U12 A and C teams take on neighbours St Marys in Stenson Park at 6.30. ON Fri 24th our Under 16 team take on St Molaise Gaels in Stenson Park at 6.30pm. GIRLS FOOTBALL

THE Under 16 girls team begin their campaign on Thurs July 30th when they travel to take on Coolera-Strandhill and on the following Thurs they are at home to St Nathys.

ST. MOLAISE GAELS

THE competitiv­e season is back up and running and our Minor Boys mark the occasion with a fine 2-17 to 2-08 win against St Mary’s in Kent Park on Friday night last in the 1st round of the A Championsh­ip. This Thursday evening 23rd July they play Ballymote/Bunninadde­n in Corran Park. TUESDAY evening this week sees our two U12 Boys football squads open their campaigns with matches against Tubbercurr­y/Cloonacool in Tubbercurr­y at 6.30pm. At The same time our U12 Girls continue preparatio­ns for the season with a challenge game in Hazlewood against Calry/St Joseph’s. ON Thursday night also U16 Girls are away to Eastern Harps in the B Championsh­ip. A busy night is completed by our senior men travelling to Belleek to take on Erne Gaels for an 8.00pm throw in as Jimmy Langan’s squad team continue preparatio­ns for the intermedia­te championsh­ip.
