MANORHAMILTON MANORHAMILTON RANGERS’ FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES

COVID-19 has put Manorhamilton Rangers in dire financial difficulties due to its impact on normal fundraising.

The club is appealing to the local community, as well as to their members, to help rescue it from its current situation by supporting Rangers weekly draw that is running in cooperation with Manorhamilton businesses.

In a recent Facebook post explaining its situation, Manor Rangers state ‘the club finds itself as others in a perilous state in the midst of this pandemic. We are struggling to keep things afloat and need your help.

‘All income streams have ceased. To try and keep the club going we started a Manor Stronger Together weekly draw where the club sponsors a €100 voucher for a different local business each week.

‘There is no cost to the business and the club retains any funds above €100 towards its running costs. Tickets are €5 each. It is our only source of funding. We have over 300 players of all ages but unfortunately the uptake has been extremely poor.

With registration for the new season for all ages taking place next week, there will be very hard decisions to be made. We cannot continue in the current mode. We will have to look if and what teams we register this season.’.

Everyone, who participates in the Manorhamilton Rangers weekly draw by purchasing a ticket will help the club to survive.
