Eleven point win for Curry over Ballymote
CURRY BALLYMOTE 3-19 1-14
Connacht Gold Intermediate Football Championship Group 1 Rd 3 er Curry replied with further scores from Denis Coffey, Oisín Murphy and Marren’s third of the day.
Two Peter Lyons frees looked like steadying the ship however just before the halftime whistle came, Colin Brennan scored his second and Curry’s third goal to give Ballymote a sucker punch going into the break leaving the scoreline 3-8 to 1-8.
Zak O’Dowd scored his point of the game to kickstart the second half. The Murphy brothers responded with a point each before Reilly kicked another 2 for the winners. The introduction of Niall
Colsh for Ballymote was a huge positive as he scored 2 brilliant long range scores. Marren and the Murphy brothers were finding space all over the Ballymote backline who struggled to cope with their movement. Reilly kicked two more points before Hever, Colsh and Ross kicked consolation scores for Ballymote who have now recorded their second defeat of their campaign while Curry made up for their defeat the previous weekend to record their second win of the campaign.
