EASKEY GAA AGM

Easkey GAA will hold a socially distant outdoor AGM on Saturday, December 12 at 3 p.m. at their pitch. All members are welcome to attend but we are limited to 15 as per Covid-19 regulation­s. If anyone wishes to attend, can they let a committee member know. If anyone cannot attend but has anything they wish discussed they can also contact a committee member prior to that date. The committee for the coming year will be elected at the AGM.

ST FARNAN’S GAA CLUB

St Farnan’s GAA Club says congratula­tions to all winners and thank you to all who supported the recent draw. A special word of thanks to the main sponsors of the draw Blair and Anne Feeney and for their constant support to the club over the years and to David Devers at Connacht Print for his sponsorshi­p. Winners are as follows: €500 cash winners: Al Culkin and Noel Healy. €50 vouchers x 10 to Owen Howley, Caroline Cuffe, Mary Neary, Eimear Golden, John Connor Belville, Sandra Scanlon, Michaela Finnegan, Colin Morrison, Ann McGowan and Connie Hargadon.

EASKEY STREET FESTIVAL EXHIBITION

To celebrate the Christmas spirit, Easkey Street Festival is delighted to organise an exhibition of artworks with a Christmas theme.

Created by friends, neighbours and local children and adults, the artwork will be displayed in the windows of the Old Pharmacy on main street, Easkey. If you would like to join in the fun and submit an artwork. For example: A painting on card, 12’ or under, a photo, or a Christmas decoration, please contact Easkey Street Festival on WhatsApp 087 2314230. Artwork will need to be submitted not later than December 10.

Easkey Street Festival committee thank you so much for all your wonderful work knitting squares and have plenty now to begin sewing together, if you still have the urge to craft, how about some woolly decoration­s such as pompoms, snowmen, stars, whatever you can knit or crochet would be great. You can leave your finished creations into Bernie’s Shop on Easkey Main Street.

HANDMADE CHRISTMAS DECORATION­S

Tireragh Community Support Ltd like so many community groups have been unable to carry out any vital fundraisin­g this year. However, they aim to have their handmade timber Christmas decoration­s available to buy this year again which will raise much-needed funds for their project.

So, please support us if you can by buying a unique, handmade, sustainabl­e timber product (prices start at €3). Venue/ location to be confirmed soon.

LIGHT UP YOUR WAGON DRIVE

On Sunday, December 20, at 5 p.m. light up your wagon (all vehicles welcome) and join the drive for a brighter Christmas. Drive will start at the Diamond Coast Hotel and proceed through Corballa, Culleens, Dromore west, Easkey and back to Enniscrone. Registrati­on begins at 4.30 p.m.

Covid safety precaution­s will be in place with no gatherings of groups.
