FUNDRAISING SONG

Local girl Lana Moore has recorded the very poignant seasonal song, Christmas 1915. The song was recorded here in Cloonacool at the Ox Mountain Studios of Chris Stapleton. The song video, which can be viewed on YouTube (youtube.com/ watch?v=Ef0LjfRuCtg) is also a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI). Please donate on the CFI website or Facebook page.

NEW STUDIO

Congratulations and well done to local musician Christ Stapleton, who has established a small recording studio in the village in recent months. The project, a response to the loss of the weekly music sessions in Brennan’s Bar because of the Covid-19 crisis, is proving very popular. Mnay local singers and fellow musicians have now recorded at the aptly named, Ox Mountain Studios. These recordings are available to view at the Christ Stapleton Music Facebook page or on the studio YouTube channel.

FRANK’S A WINNER

Congratulations to local golfer Frank Durkin on winning the club singles title in Tubbercurry golf club recently. Frank has spent the recent lockdowns to hone his skills and he looks forward to celebrating his win when restrictions are lifted.
