I’ve always loved things that wouldn’t be considered traditionally classy or elegant (in other words I love tacky things). Tacky to me isn’t a negative word. It’s more of a mindset description. My photography is heavily inspired by TV (mainly Ab Fab). There’s a certain mindset that Edina Monsoon adopts. I like to tap into that way of being and then the ideas come to me. The ideas are never too deep or superficial. I think it’s important though now, more than ever, to be able to provide the world with something easy, accessible and light-hearted. There’s so much negative information thrown at us on a daily basis that sometimes it’s nice to just escape that and look at something pretty, pink and doused in leopard print.
