Angie Cousins Pilates classes

-

The Pilates studio Glynn resumes classes Sept 8th and Angie Cousins looks forward to welcoming back previous clients and new people interested in Pilates fitness. The studio is located at Blackhall, Glynn, approximately 12 minutes drive from Wexford town. It is adjoining Barntown, Taghmon, Killurin and Adamstown.

Angie Cousins has been teaching Pilates classes in the South east since completing her training with Joyce Gavin from BodyFirm Pilates in 2000. Pilates is suitable for all levels of fitness and Angie teaches mat classes from beginners to advanced level.

Courses are run for 6 weeks at a time at the Studio and on Monday evenings at the Waterfront in Enniscorthy. The fee is €65 and includes bottled water and herbal teas at the studio.

Pilates helps to maintain a balanced body, increased flexibility and muscle tone whilst correcting posture and most importantly building core strength. Activities of daily living wreak havoc on our bodies with some muscles over worked and others underworked. Pilates is a perfect antidote to this, providing a workout that will stretch, strengthen and straighten your whole body. It is also a fantastic compliment to other exercises, so walk, run, bike, swim… and do pilates!

New to the studio is the Pilates Reformer, the ultimate pilates machine taking your practice to the next level. The routine involves Pilates exercises on the machine using pulleys and springs to creates resistance to work muscles at a more intense and weight bearing level. Reformer workouts cost €30 and take 30 to 40 minutes to complete the routine.

The mat based classes include a range of apparatus to assist and also to challenge, for example the FitBall class on Monday mornings includes a swiss ball for advanced exercises and finished with a foam roller to work out tension in specific muscles. The studio is on facebook and Angie can be contacted at 087 8475064.
