OPEN MEETING

There will be an open public meeting to discuss the Formation/Reactivati­on of the Rosslare Harbour/Kilrane Developmen­t Board. This meeting is for anybody who is interested in forming a Committee and joining with a new Developmen­t Board in Rosslare Harbour/Kilrane. It will be held at 7.30pm in Hotel Rosslare on Monday 8th September and all are welcome.

FISHING COMPETITIO­N

Rosslare Harbour/Kilrane Angling Club are holding a fishing competitio­n on Saturday the 30th August starting at 9am in the lagoon, Rosslare Harbour (please note change of date). Fishing Competitio­n for adults and Under 16s starting at 9am. Crab Fishing for the little ones at 3pm followed by a barbecue and competitio­n weigh in. Prize giving in The Railway Social Club at 9pm that night. All are welcome to join in the fun!

The next meeting will be at Hotel Rosslare on Tuesday 2nd September, 2014 at 3.00pm.

ELAINE PAIGE FAREWELL TOUR: at the National Concert Hall on Wednesday, 29th October, 2014. Admission is €45 (conditiona­l on a minimum number of ten people). Blood Clinic: A huge thank you to all who donated blood at our first ever clinic at our complex in Tagoat last week.

CAMOGIE NEWS

U8s & U6s: Well done to all of our little players who put in another fantastic display of camogie at the County Camogie U8's Blitz which was held in Tagoat recently. There was a great turn out with 140 budding All-Stars from all over the county giving it a go! Thanks to everyone for their donations which amounted to €174.40 in aid of Make a Wish Foundation. Thanks also to the County 14 Camogie players who refereed the matches. A special thanks to the parents who brought confection­ery and to the organisers & helpers on the day.

U10s: Congratula­tions to the U10s who finished up joint first in the U10 Group 5 Mini League table with Kilmore and have rightly secured their place in the county final which is to be held on Saturday 30th. Venue and time will be advised soon by text. We're all so proud of you girls and wish you all the very best.

U12s: Congratula­tions to the U12's who also finished up joint first in the U12 Group E Mini League table with St Anne's, Rathangan and have also rightly secured their place in the county final which is to be held on Sunday 31st Aug. Venue and time is to be advised. Nice camogie ladies, you have done us really proud! Good luck in the county final.

U14s: A huge well done to the U14's who finished 5th in the U14 Roinn 3 League and narrowly missed out on a county final by one point on the table. You played some fantastic hurling this season against some formidable opponents and we are so proud of you.
