PICK OF THE WEEK
FILM GRAVITY Sky Movies Premiere, Friday 8pm
Starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as astronauts who are stranded in space when their shuttle is disabled, this 2013 movie was made to be seen in 3D, but even if you don’t have a 3D
TV the action sequences are thrilling.
While the characters other objects spin and ricochet, the film’s viewpoint in turn swoops around them in brilliantly choreographed movements. A wonderful example of CGI at its best.

THE SUNDAY GAME
RTE2, Saturday 4.30pm
Called the Sunday Game, Saturday’s All Ireland semi final replay between Kerry and Mayo takes place this Saturday afternoon in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick with a 5pm throw in. The second half of last Sunday’s drawn encounter was edge of the seat stuff, as 14-man Mayo overhauled Kerry but were caught on the line and very nearly lost the match as one of the last kicks of the match from Kerry flicked off the outside of the post and wide. The second semi final is played on Sunday afternoon in Croke Park between Dublin and Donegal, throw in at 3.30pm

NATURAL WORLD
BBC2, Thursday 9pm
Is there any better combination for documentary making than the natural world plus the BBC plus David Attenborough. Over the decades they have made some superb programmes which have opened a world into the natural world. This programme features on amphibians, a third of whom are threatened with extinction, with frogs particularly susceptible to pesticides, habitat loss and the nastysounding chytrid fungus.
