Wexford Motor Show comes to town

MOTORING fans and those just looking for a new car are in for a treat next weekend, when the Wexford Motor Show comes to town.

The show has been a huge success over the last few years and the 2016 event will be even bigger.

This year the show will be held on Saturday (June 11) and Sunday (June 12) on the Quayside in Wexford Town.

The location is perfectly suited to this type of event and it is expected that over 15,000 people will visit the show and organisers are hoping the weather will be kind.

The show is organised by the local Motor Retailers and The Society of the Irish Motor Industry with support from Wexford Borough District Council, the gardai and the Road Safety Authority. This year’s show will feature: •130 new vehicles and 100 vintage sports & classic cars.

•100 light Commercial vehicles.

•The Road Safety authority will provide their Road show vehicles as part of a Road Safety Awareness campaign on the day.

•The Wexford Food Family and their artisan food offering.

•There will be a family entertainment area with clowns, Disney characters, face painting, a climbing wall and kids area.

•Free giveaways during the day.

•The event is free to all the family.

The Wexford show will be the biggest of its kind, This event will have the biggest motor business participation in the country this year, with 20 franchise dealers and 27 brands represented on the day.

This is a great opportunity to see the huge range of new vehicles available in the Irish market, while having a family fun day. The organisers said they wanted to thank all their sponsors, both local and national, who make this event happen.

Charities on the day are the RNLI and the Special Olympics.
