Wexford firm in enterprise finals
A SMALL Wexford company has made it through to the finals of the National Enterprise Awards on June 9.
Thousands of small businesses from across the country were supported by Local Enterprise Offices of each local authority and 32 of those businesses have now reached the national final. The competition has a prize fund of €40,000 and was set up two decades ago to celebrate Ireland’s small businesses and micro-enterprises.
Hentech Engineering, Ballymurn, supplies and fits structural steel and secondary steel including railings, balconies, gates, access platforms, stairs etc. The company also produces flashing from mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel which are generally supplied powder coated.
The brains behind the business are John and Martina Hennessy who employ 10 members of staff.
The company has successfully completed a wide range of high quality projects throughout Ireland and has built up a solid track record for fabrication and installation of quality structural and mild steel products. Over the years, Hentech has completed major project work in a range of fields, everything from large industrial projects to complex office/public use buildings, from residential to recreational or mixed use projects.
In March, Hentech was selected by Wexford County Council’s Local Enterprise Office as the winner of the County Enterprise Awards, and nominated to go forward to represent Wexford at the National Finals, which will be held at the Aviva Stadium.
