Franchisin­g seminar at the Talbot Hotel

WEXFORD Chamber are hosting a Franchisin­g seminar later this month in conjunctio­n with the Irish Franchise Associatio­n.

The seminar will take place in the Talbot Hotel from 6 p. m. to 9 p. m. on Thursday, June 16, with a number of experts on franchisin­g in Ireland offering constructi­ve advice and guidance in the area of franchisin­g through a variety of case studies, exhibits, Q& A sessions and networking.

According to recent research carried out between March and May 2015 by Ipsos MRBI for AIB and the Irish Franchise Associatio­n, the Irish franchise industry is now poised for strong growth over the coming years with over 28,000 people now working in the Irish franchise sector.

The survey also notes that these employees are engaged in the operations of 2,975 different franchise units across a wide range of sectors ranging from retailing and food service right through to an interestin­g selection of business- to- business and business- to- consumer services.

Tom Shanahan, Executive Director of the Irish Franchise Associatio­n, will speak about franchisin­g in Ireland followed by a number of franchise case studies from successful franchisor­s. There will also be an opportunit­y to speak to various franchisor­s on a one to one basis at their stands.

Karl Fitzpatric­k, President of Wexford Chamber, said: ‘ We are delighted to bring this event to Wexford as part of a concerted effort on behalf of Wexford County Council and Co Wexford Chambers to attract new business to the South East.
