ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The annual general meeting of Curracloe United Soccer club will be held in the clubhouse on Wednesday, June 8, at 9 p.m. All existing and new members please attend.
GARDEN EVENING
Castlebridge Show committee are holding a Garden Evening on Wednesday, June 15, with Syl Doyle of Wilton Nurseries, Bree, and it commences at 8 p.m in the Community Garden, Castlebridge. Tea and coffee will be available. This event is free of charge and they hope to see you all there.
COMMUNITY GAMES
A reminder to all the children who have qualified for the county athletic finals that training is continuing at Crossabeg community field every Monday night. The county finals will be held in the Hub in Enniscorthy on Sunday, June 12. Training for the various Relay competitions is under way and the selectors are now close to making the final decisions on same.
Parents are reminded that they need to have their children in attendance at the Hub by 9.45 a.m. on June 12 in preparation for the days activities. The Area singlet and numbers will be provided by the local committee.
SUMMER CAMP
Bridge Rovers are delighted to announce that they will be running a Sports Direct.com FAI Summer Soccer School camp this year. The camp will take place between August 8 and August 12 and is open to six – 14-year-old boys and girls of all abilities.
This is a great opportunity for your child to develop their football skills, while making friends and having fun in the process. Camps are available for both goalkeepers and outfield players. Entry to the camp costs €65 per child. They also offer a special sibling discount of €10 per child if one or more siblings join the camp. An exclusive FAI Summer Soccer School kit, football and backpack is provided for all children who enrol at the camp this year.
There is only a limited number of places available, so they are urging people to book as soon as possible to avoid missing out. To find out more, or to book your child’s place at the club visit summersoccerschools.ie.
TRACIE’S WALK
The annual walk to remember Tracie Lawlor will take place on Sunday, June 12. The date has been changed to the week following the bank holiday as some of the ladies are taking part in the Women’s Mini Marathon on the bank holiday.
This is the eighth year and it is both a fundraiser for the trust and a lovely social event where you get an update on how the trust is doing and what the plans are for the future.
Registration is from 10 a.m in Castlebridge square and the walk starts at 11 a.m. and walkers will arrive at the Talbot hotel at around 12.15 p.m. for a meal and an update on the charity. Registration is only €20 which includes your meal. If you are able to walk you can do this.

CURRACLOE SCHOOL NEWS
The boys and girls from Curracloe, Screen and Castlebridge national schools under the Castlebridge Rackard League team recently completed Round one of their Rackard League hurling and camogie matches. The girls went on to win their quarter final match against Rathnure and will now play Adamstown in the semi-final. We wish them well.
On Wednesday, June 1, boys and girls from fifth and sixth classes participated in a Tag Rugby Blitz in Ferrycarrig Park. They enjoyed a great day of rugby and came third in the competition. Thank you to helpers who went along to help supervise the teams.
The school sports day was held on Thursday, June 2. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children and thanks to the parents’ association who provided food and to the parents and helpers who help make the day a great success.
