We, as a Club have lost another great friend in Grantstown with the passing of Jim Ferguson. Jim served as Treasurer of the County Board with Monica for years as well as his own Club. You would always see him at the turnstiles of any game collecting the money. I don’t think that he ever missed a match.

He would always be spotted in the paper with his hand on the Jim Byrne Cup handing it to the winning Caption. Jim was a strong financial force behind all the development to our Club. Sadie s death took a toll on Jim. Deepest condolences to Monica, Billy, Dermot, Karen and Ger. once again and to all friends from the club and County Families. Rest in peace Jim.
