Daytripper Festival makes a welcome return to Waterford

THE South East’s favourite music weekender is back in Waterford for Year 4 in July, with another fantastic line-up and 5 hours of non-stop electric performanc­es each night over 3 stages at the RSC from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd July.

With on-site bar and food facilities plus other festival add-ons at the RSC, all within walking distance of the city’s bars and clubs for that post gig drink, it’s the perfect hassle free live music event .

The three internatio­nal headline acts are: Leftfield, one of the best dance music acts on the planet playing on Friday; Ocean Colour Scene, celebratin­g 20 years of their classic album ‘Moseley Shoals’ on Saturday; and one of the biggest acts of the 80s, Paul Young, playing his first Irish show in eighteen years on the Sunday.

King Kong Company, The Disconauts, Mr C & Bushwacka!, Mark Kavanagh, Shane Johnson and Republik DJs add to the ‘Homelands Revisited’ theme on the Friday.

On Saturday, Stereo Mcs, Neville Staple (The Specials), Smash Hits, Mad Ferritt (playing an Oasis Knebworth ’96 set), Discopunks, Kelly Anne Byrne and Get Down Edits will set the scene for OCS.

Finally on Sunday, Aslan, Big Country, Rebel Rebel (The David Bowie Experience), Spring Break, the Unusual Suspects and 80s clubs ‘ Fade To Grey’ and ‘Indie Disco’ will fill the RSC with 80s vibes before Paul Young.
