Having beaten Bannow-Ballymitty on a scoreline of 1-04 to 1-01 in the semi-final of the ladies’ football feile shield in Oylegate during the recent past the ladies were faced with Bunclody in the final. Bunclody put their name on the scoreboard first with St Fintan’s battling hard to register a score but the Bunclody defence stood firm. Though never giving up the battle St Fintan’s found Bunclody too strong and trailed on a scoreline of 3-03 to 0-03 when the final whistle sounded.
