FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS

County Wexford Youth Film Project is hosting a series of summer filmmaking workshops in New Ross. These are open and free to all teenagers and start with a workshop on how to create a music video. This four-day workshop starts on Tuesday July 12 and runs through to Friday July 15 from 10am– 3.30pm each day and will be facilitate­d by local filmmaker Therese Dalton.

Learn how to film a music video, using profession­al camera equipment and edit to the sound of the beat. Particular attention is paid to colour, light and shapes in our daily lives. Participan­ts will visually engage with our surroundin­gs and discover how movement can seamlessly lead us from one shot to another.

Kilmore Quay ICA guild’s commemorat­ive afternoon tea and craft sale in the Stella Maris centre at 3 p.m. This is being held in memory of the late ICA member Ann Winters. All proceeds will be donated to St Joseph’s and St Mary’s School for the Deaf. CLEARIESTO­WN FIELD DAY
