ST. FINTAN’S NS

Bizworld: The 5th and 6th class pupils of St. Fintan’s NS Taghmon in conjunction with Bank of Ireland, became entrepreneurs for two exciting days. The children set up their own companies and then pitched their ideas to the Dragon, Brian Cantwell Bank of Ireland Manager, expecting him to buy shares in their various companies. The young entrepreneurs were brought through the many stages in setting up business by Bank of Ireland’s Robin Whitmore and Catherine Dunne. Shares in the companies were enthusiastically bought and sold by the children. Bizworld proved to be a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience for all involved.

Tour of Wexford town: On a beautiful sunny 9th of June the children of 6th class undertook a guided walking tour of Weisfjord (Viking Name). Their tour guide for the day was Monica Crofton, who had a wealth of knowledge to impart. The children visited all the historical sites of the town and learned many interesting facts. A great day was had by all.

Congratulations to the Taghmon girls who won their rounders final. It was a close game against their neighboring school Barntown. Well done to all concerned.

The teachers and staff of the school would like to wish the students of 6th class well in their transition to secondary school.
