GARDEN PARTY

The third annual Garden Party will be held in Castlebrid­ge Community Garden on Sunday, July 17, from 2 p.m.

The garden is celebratin­g its fifth anniversar­y this year so it will be a special day. Castlebrid­ge Gospel Choir will be providing the entertainm­ent and there will be a variety of fun and games for all ages on offer. Why not go along and enjoy tea and homemade cakes in the beautiful surroundin­gs of the community garden. Admission is free.

SUMMER CAMP

Bridge Rovers AFC are running a Sports Direct.com FAI summer soccer school camp which will take place between August 8 and August 12. The camp is open to 6-14-year-old boys and girls of all abilities.

This is a great opportunit­y for your child to develop their football skills, while making friends and having fun in the process. Camps are available for both goalkeeper­s and outfield players. Entry costs €65 per child. The club also offer a special sibling discount of €10 per child if one or more siblings join the camp.

An exclusive FAI summer soccer school kit, football and backpack is provided for all children who enrol this year. CONDOLENCE­S

We extend our condolence­s to the family of the late Jim Lambe, Kilmacoe, Curracloe, who died on Sunday last, July 3, especially to his wife Maureen, son Toddy and daughter Breda, grandchild­ren, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, relatives and friends. His remains reposed at his residence with removal to Curracloe church on Monday evening at 7.30 p.m. Requiem Mass takes place today, Tuesday, July 5, at midday with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. RIP.
