CLERICAL CHANGES

Bishop Brennan has announced clerical changes in the diocese to take effect on the weekend of August 6. Fr Robert McGuire will transfer to Caroreigh and be replaced by Fr Ken Quinn, currently Chaplain in Wexford Hospital. Fr Robert has given three years of diligent and committed service to the parish as curate in Galbally and Ballyhogue. He is wished every blessing, good wish and happiness for his future ministry in Caroreigh.

CLONMORE CHURCH FETE

A fundraisin­g Church Fete in aid of Clonmore Church will be held at the home of Gerald and Kathy Dunne, Merton on Sunday next, July 10, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be lots of attraction­s for everyone with a country produce and plants stall, bottle stall, crazy golf, raffle, cake stall and teas/coffees €3. All support would be greatly appreciate­d and all are most welcome.

‘SEISIUN’ RETURNS

The Comhaltas Seisiún Sessions, in associatio­n with Celtic Roots, return to Bree Community Centre on Tuesday night next, July 12 and continue weekly on Tuesday nights at 8.30 p.m. for the months of July and August. Each Session begins with the serving of scones and tea or coffee followed by a full programme of Music, Song, Dance and Storytelli­ng. Cost is €10 for adults with concession­s for large groups and children. For bookings and further details contact 087 7535354.

PATRON DATES

Ballybrenn­an Patron will be held on Friday evening, July 15, at 7.30 p.m. Bree Patron is on Sunday, August 14, commencing in Clonmore Cemetery at 1.30 p.m., following onto the New Cemetery at 2 p.m. and then the Old Cemetery and concluding with Benedictio­n of the Blessed Sacrament in the church.
