GAA NOTES

The lotto jackpot of €3,200 wasn’t won last week, the winning numbers were 16, 21, 28, and 31, and there were no match 3s. Our next lottery will be on July 12, when the lotto jackpot will be €3,500.

Our Intermedia­te hurling team play in the final of the Kinsella Cup this Tuesday night V Horeswood in Taghmon at 8 p.m., and our final Hurling league game is on next Sunday evening V Rathnure in Taghmon at 7 p.m.

We had no winners in the final Co GAA developmen­t draw last week, once again we would like to thank all those who bought tickets to support our club for 2016.

ATHLETIC CLUB NEWS

Very well done to Brónagh O’Hanlon and Pádraig Hore who both competed for Leinster in the Tailteann interprovi­ncial school championsh­ips in the Morton Stadium.

Bronagh finished sixth in the hammer, and Pádraig had great success taking medals in both his events. Second in the discus and third in the shot putt.

Muireann Hore competed in the Athletics events South Leinster Area Advancemen­t for the special Olympics in the Watershed, Kilkenny with a great achievemen­t of taking gold in the shot putt and Silver in the 100m sprint. Ray O’Brien finishing the Viking full marathon in a time if 4:14 and 31 sec. Very well done Ray. Very well done to all our athletes.
