Craanford GPA is hosting a charity clay pigeon shoot, ’40 bird sporting over five stands’ in aid of the Craanford community underpass on Sunday, July 24, at Dan Byrne’s, Banntown, starting at 1 p.m. Last entry will be taken at 4 p.m. The venue will be signposted from the N11 at Clough, and Craanford village. Courtown Surf Lifesaving Club’s sponsored swim from Courtown to Ballymoney to raise funds to send 18 youths over to the World Championsh­ips in Holland this September. It starts at 11 a.m. from Courtown, and should take two-and-a-half hours to reach Ballymoney. Places limited to 50, and participan­ts are asked to raise at least €100.
