UNDERAGE GAA

Well done to St Fintan’s Minor Footballers on a solid victory versus Ballyhogue in Ballymore. A strong panel with some great football played.

The lads have played five Rounds of Championship football with two victorys and a draw to their name. They have two group games (Oylegate away and Sarsfields at home) remaining before the knockout rounds. Keep up the good work lads.

ALL BLACKS AFC

Congratulations to this week’s winner Shauna O’Connor who won E405 in our split-the-pot Draw No 29 at the Bridies Pub, Bridgetown. Next week’s draw in Greenacres Pub, Tennacre. Great prize to be won. Many thanks for the hospitality on the night. Thank you to all our selling agents and our draw entrants in your continued support weekly.

ST FINTAN’S LADIES

Twenty one of our under-14 players eventually took the long journey to Castletown to play the local team in the County Quarter Final.

This was the first time this season the club was able to field its strongest team, which showed in the exhibition of skills and workrate delivered by the girls. Playing against the breeze the girls held a 3-4 to 0-3 lead at the half time whistle.

The full panel got some playing time as the girls secured a victory which saw them qualify for a Co semi-final. Well played all.

ST FINTAN’S

Split-the-pot’ monthly draw. This is a fundraiser organised by our adult men’s team to help finance the costs associated with the running of our adult football and hurling teams.

Our Intermediate Football team have had great success to date in the Championship qualifying rounds guaranteeing themselves a Quarter Final position with two group games still to play. Our Junior Footballers are still in the running for a knockout Championship game. Our Junior Hurlers have three group games remaining and will be hoping to secure a quarter final position also.

The costs associated with running the men’s teams are endless and it is hoped these draws will help towards that. The draw will run for July, August and September taking place on the last Friday of each month. Tickets are €10 each and limited to just 50 tickets per month with the winner each month bagging €250. Tickets available from any of our players or from club secretary Sharon Pettit. Please support and help the lads make every effort to reach those big games come September
