CONDOLENCES
We extend our condolences to Mrs Siobhan Kehoe and familiy, Kereight, Crossabeg, on the death of her Mother, Mrs Mary) (May) Murphy, (née Kehoe) Ballymartin, Castlebridge, whose funeral took place to Screen cemetery after Requiem Mass in Castlebridge church on Thursday of last week. Beloved wife of the late Mattie and mother to Siobhan, Maureen, Ibar, Sean, Eamon, Patrick, Andrew and Peader, she is also survived by her sister Bessie, grandchildren, daughters and sons in law, great grand children, nephews, nieces and extended family members. Best of luck to the Oylegate-Glenbrien Intermediate women who play away to Blackwater this week and also to the under-16 girls who play Davidstown on Monday and St James’s Ramsgrange away on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The club would also like to wish the Crossabeg-Ballymurn minor football girls the best of luck in their county final on Friday evening.
GAA CLUB NOTES
Lotto numbers in Crossabeg/ Ballmurn GAA Club draw were 3, 17, 20 and 24. There was no jackpot winner and one match-three winner, Bridget Byrne. The jackpot is worth €10,000 this week.
The Junior B footballers beat St Mary’s Maudlintown on Friday in the championship 4-8 to 0-9 and now play away to St Joseph’s this evening, Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. Well done to the Intermediate A footballers who beat the Volunteers on Sunday in the championship 3-5 to 0-7. The Junior B Hurlers play Clonard away on Friday at 7.30 p.m, while the Intermediate hurlers play Blackwater on Saturday at 3.30 p.m in St Patrick’s Park, both in the championship.
WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

A church gate collection on behalf of the Irish Heart Foundation will be taken up this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14. Your generous support would be appreciated.
SOCCER
Crossabeg AFC are hosting a beach party night in Foley’s Pub on August 13 at 8 p.m. Admission is €10 and there will be a free barbecue, a raffle and Ben Turner is the DJ for the event. This coming weekend, Tadhg Brophy (under-eight Art competition) and Jack O’Leary ((Handwriting category) will travel to compete in the Community Games national finals in Athlone It, where they will represent the local and county committees. We wish them the very best of luck.
