NTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL

On a dreary Saturday evening in Innovate Wexford park, with high winds, non stop rain, slippery under foot conditions and poor visibility the intermediate football game between St Fintan’s and St Mary’s of maudlintown was a kin to the conditions. St Fintan’s with aspirations of returning to the senior ranks did nothing to convince the loyal group of supporters with this dismal display and were deservedly beaten by the more energetic Maudlintown men. Scores were hard earned in the first half, and St Mary’s held a slender lead when the half time whistle sounded 0-03 to 0-02. Having played against the strong wind in the first half, we all expected the Ballymore-Mayglass men to take advantage of it in the second, but this was not to be with St Mary’s out scoring them 0-06 to 1-02 to leave a final score line of 0-09 to 1-04.

KILLINICK ICA

The local Killinick ICA guild took in farmleigh and malahide castle on its annual sight seeing tour during the past week. A large group of members boarded a coach in killinick and enjoyed the tour in ideal conditions. The group visited glen view hotel for something to eat on the return journey. With the monthly meetings in the Offing this was a relaxing get together.

The leaders are so proud of our youth members who were firm favourites on Asia Sub-camp with their total commitment to all the activities, creating plenty of atmosphere with their singing and engagement with the other groups on site. Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising to make it all possible.
