WEXFORD Bus is launching a new timetable in September, offering more services than ever before to Dublin City and Waterford. With a comprehensive choice of services, free wi-fi and a warm welcome there has never been a better time to commute by bus as a student on a daily or weekly basis.
On the Wexford to Waterford route Wexford Bus will be servicing WIT and are introducing a new 07.50 service from Wexford (Monday to Friday) that is scheduled to arrive to WIT for 08.40. Commuting to WIT on a daily basis will be an affordable and manageable option with weekly 10 journey tickets costing €45.50.
On the Dublin City & Airport route there will be choice of up to 18 northbound and 19 southbound services to choose from so you can arrive on time for your first lecture, whatever time that may start at! Travelling along the M11 route Wexford Bus services UCD, Trinity and DIT. DCU and St Pat’s are serviced at selected times.
“The timetable is very well suited for students, our selection of bus times offer students great flexibility with their lecture timetable. A significant portion of our daily Dublin commuters are students. The timetable, frequency of services and route travelled is well suited to students.” Explains Lorene Crowley, Commercial Director “The fact that we offer the fastest journey time on this route and passengers have free use of the internet throughout their trip makes our service even more attractive to students.”
The daily express commuter service, between Wexford and Dublin city is ideal for those travelling to Dublin for work, college or pleasure and stops close to Cherrywood (to connect with the Green Luas Line), UCD, Leeson Street, Clare Street (National Gallery), Customs House Quay and the North Wall Quay (O2 Arena).
This service provides a very reasonable alternative to students considering moving to Dublin. “We are very aware of the financial pressures that students are under and have a weekly ticket at a very competitive student rate of €65 from Wexford or Oylgate and €60 from all other locations. For those travelling up and down on a weekly basis we have a promotional €9 student single fare that is available with a Student Leap Card.” commented Crowley.
Regular users are also encouraged to download the Wexford Bus App from the iTunes App Store. This enables passengers to track live bus positions, predict arrival times and view the timetable.
