BUSKING FESTIVAL

The committee of the festival regret to announce that the Joe Monaghan Busking Festival will not run this year. A suitable alternativ­e date proved difficult to fix before the end of summer. However, we will meet in early Spring to make plans for Festival 2017 – watch this space.

CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP

At last. Dates for your diary for our three One-act plays: Friday and Saturday, October 7/8 – Wexford Arts Centre; Friday, October 21 – Rathangan Hall; Sunday, October 23 – St Mary’s hall, Fethard-on-Sea. All performanc­es 8 p.m. €10 on door.

TAGHMON ICA

The first committee meeting takes place on Wednesday 7th of September in the Scout Hall at 7.30pm. We look forward to seeing you so we can start planning the year ahead.

CASTLE VINTAGE CLUB BBQ

The Castle Vintage Club barbecue evening will take place in Rochford’s Camross on Saturday, September 10, starting with an adult cycle run at 3 p.m. followed by music by Freeway and barbecue. All support would be greatly appreciate­d.

GAA NOTES

Our Intermedia­te Football team qualified for the county semi-final after beating St Mary’s 2-12 to 1-10 over the weekend, the semi-final will be in three weeks time.

Our Intermedia­te hurlers are out in the quarter final of the championsh­ip on Saturday, September 17, V St Patrick’s in Bellefield.

Our club lotto takes place this Tuesday night September 6, when the jackpot will be €4,700, please have your tickets in the Center at 7.30 p.m.

Our Club are holding a Gala Concert night in the Spiegelten­t on the Quay in Wexford in aid of the underage section of the club on Monday, October 17, Tickets are €10 and are available from the committee, this promises to be a great nights entertainm­ent, so get your tickets early.
