Two out of two for impressive Wanderers

Killenagh Wanderers have made an impressive start to the season, winning their two games and scoring plenty of goals in the process.

On Sunday they beat Enniscorth­y Town 3-1, with Martin Flynn scoring a double and Joe McDonald getting their other goal.

Cloughbawn are another side playing with a real swagger and they saw off Forth Celtic 4-2 with goals from Stephen Mahon (two), Barry Carton and Connal Flood.

Rosslare Strand edged out Fethard Rangers 5-4 in a thriller, with Mark Buckley bagging a hat-trick and Danny O’Reilly adding a double.

Liam Walsh hit the net for New Ross Town and Keith Donnelly for Duncannon in their 1-1 draw, while Rathnure and Rosslare Port played out a scoreless stalemate.

Ballymurn Celtic earned the local bragging rights as they comfortabl­y got the better of Oylegate 4-0 in their local derby.

Luke Redmond bagged a brace for the winners, with Paul Dempsey and PJ Bourke also hitting the back of the net.

Bree United have made an eye-catching start to the campaign and they proved too strong for Caim on Sunday, winning 4-1 with goals from Noel Roche (two), Philip Walsh and Thomas Cash.

Nicky Sinnott was the star man for Cushinstow­n, netting all four goals for his side in their 4-0 win over New Ross Celtic, while Raheen beat Ballagh 3-0, with Dylan Whitty netting a double and Peter Finn getting their other goal.

Elsewhere, Enniscorth­y United proved too strong for Ferns United, running out 6-1 winners.

Division3A

Camolin have started the season like a side who mean business and on Sunday they overpowere­d Kilmore United 4-0, with Chris Sweeney netting a double and Tommy O’Leary and Neil Doyle adding a goal apiece.

Wexford Albion also picked up their second win, as a Keith Murphy double saw them edge out Bridge Rovers 2-1, while Castledock­rell also made it two from two, with Shane Mernagh and Darragh Kehoe getting their goals in a 2-1 win in Curracloe.

Ciarán O’Connor and James Connick got the goals for Shelburne as they continued their perfect start with a 2-0 victory in Courtown.

Division4

Conor Kelly and Conor Keeling both scored doubles for Crossabeg as they overcame All Blacks 4-2 on Sunday.

Not to be outdone Dillon Kenny netted two goals for Gorey Celtic as they earned a 2-0 win away to Rosslare Rangers.

Moyne Rangers registered a 3-1 derby win over Enniscorth­y United, with David Franklin, Robbie Donnelly and Ciarán O’Connor getting on the scoresheet, while Adrian Murphy and MJ Doran got the goals for Corach Ramblers as they went down to a 3-2 defeat against Carne FC.

Elsewhere Wexford Bohs earned a 2-0 win away to St. Leonards.

Division4A

Cloughbawn’s second string matched the exploits of their ‘A’ team by winning two out of two with a 3-2 triumph in Tombrack on Sunday.

Stephen Kennedy, Paul Lambert and Brendan Coleman got the goals for the visitors, with Willie Power and Jamie Murphy replying for Tombrack.

Tony Kenny and David O’Connor got the goals for Shamrock Rovers in their 2-1 win over Bree United, with Enda Minogue replying for Bree.

Rosslare Port and Ajax Athletic shared the spoils after a 3-3 draw, while Enniscorth­y Town earned a 3-1 win away to Boolavogue.

Murt Hendrick, Mark O’Gorman and Paddy Kavanagh got the goals for Castledock­rell as they saw off St. Cormac’s by the odd goal in five on Sunday. Dean Fortune replied with a double for St. Cormac’s. Killenagh won 4-1 away to Stoney Rovers, with Oisin Dunbar and Steven Doran sharing the goals equally between them.

Duncannon also notched up a 4-1 victory, with Aaron Hart (two), Corey Doran and Anthony Lawlor getting their goals and Tommy Maher replying for Cushinstow­n.

Wexford Albion also netted four goals, with Mark Browne, TJ Cousins, Brian Murphy and Keith Rossiter hitting the net in their 4-2 win over Camolin.

Ballymurn beat Caim United 3-1 thanks to a double from Rob O’Toole and a goal from Luke Lacey.
