COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €5,400. The winning numbers were 7, 15, 16 and 18. Congratula­tions to the three match-three winners who each received €100. The matchthree winners were Kyle Goff, Darragh Sinnott, Teresa Brennan. The next lottery will be held on Tuesday, September 20, and the jackpot now stands at €5,700.

VARIETY GROUP

An informatio­n night for Rathangan Variety Group’s forthcomin­g production of ‘Oklahoma the Musical’ takes place on Wednesday, September 21, at 8 p.m. in Rathangan Hall. Audition Dates: Wednesday, September 28, at 8 p.m. and Friday, September 30, at 8 p.m. in Rathangan Hall. Existing members are asked to attend, new members from first year upwards are more than welcome. If you ever fancied ‘treading the boards’ then come along and meet our Director who will give you an insight into this Production. Audition material available on the night to take away. TRX/PILATES CLASSES

TRX Classes take place in the club house every Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30 p.m. and Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9.30 a.m. For further details please contact Kevin Cogley at 086 3656233.

DISCO

There will be children’s disco held in Rathangan Hall on Saturday, September 24, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For primary school aged kids. Music by Dj Gary Spot prizes raffle tickets Fully supervised. Admission €3

This disco is being held by Triona Marie Cleary from Duncormick to fund her upcoming trip to World Championsh­ips in Kick Boxing with Team Ireland.

TABLE QUIZ

Duncormick Area Action Group and Tidy Towns Committee will hold a table quiz in Sinnott’s Pub on Wednesday, October 12, at 9 p.m. Tables €20. Refreshmen­ts served. Proceeds in aid of river walk developmen­t.

FASTNET ROVERS FC

Fastnet Rovers are now taking new and existing registrati­ons for the upcoming season. We are also entering and under-10 and under-12 girls’ team next season. Please check out Fastnet Rovers AFC on Facebook or contact the club if you are interested.

MONEY FOR JAM

Calling all jam making a blackberry picking enthusiast­s. The forthcomin­g Harvest Festival to be held in Duncormick on October 1 and two, are looking for your help. If you are in the habit of jam making, why not donate some of your produce to our ‘Money for Jam Appeal’. The idea is to fundraise for the upkeep of Church grounds at Duncormick Church. TOMHAGGARD CENTRE

Ongoing activities at Tomhaggard social centre: Women’s Shed continues Mondays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., new members welcome. Scouts. Wednesdays 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. cubs scouts and ventures. HIP-HOP CLASSES

PARISH AED’S

We are delighted to now have Four AED’s in our parish – Baldwinsto­wn, Cleariesto­wn, Duncormick and Rathangan. They are located at the shop in Baldwinsto­wn; Church in Cleariesto­wn; Former post office in Duncormick and on the school in Rathangan. They’re in a bright yellow box.

BALLYCOGLE­Y PLAYERS

The 3-act play for the 2017 season has been chosen by director Breda Hayes. ‘Lay me down softly’ by Billy Roche will be the production that we will stage next year at the drama festivals with the following cast, Seán Carthy, Jack Allen, Ellen Cloney, Paddy McGuire, Chris Maddock and Trish Boyce. The 1-act plays will take place during the Wexford Opera Festival from Thursday, October 27, to Sunday, October 30, in St Michael’s hall, Thomas Street, Wexford. DANCE BUS

There will be a pick up and drop off bus service from your house covering all areas to the Irish country music and social dance nights in Tír na nÓg, Wellington­bridge every Thursday night. A cover charge of €10 will include bus fare, admission to the dance, door prize entry and refreshmen­ts. AA OPEN PUBLIC MEETING

An Open Public Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous will take place in St. Michaels Hall, Thomas Street, Wexford on Friday September 30 at 8.30 p.m. This meeting is open to all and will include speakers from AA and Al-Anon.

The purpose is to provide informatio­n to individual­s and/or their families who are concerned about the impact that alcohol is having on their lives. The meeting will conclude with refreshmen­ts , tea and coffee.
