Ballymurn heritage group still have some 1916 and Kilmallock cemetery books for sale. Contact any committee member or are available in the local shop.

GAA NOTES

This week’s lotto numbers: 2, 6, 17 and 26. There was no jackpot winner. Match Three winners: Julie Banville, Margaret Cullen, Amanda Scallan; LJlJk c/o Foleys the jackpot is €10,000.

Hard luck to our minor hurlers who last to Rathnure in the shield semi-final on Sunday last. Our intermediate hurlers have been drawn to play Oylegate in the county semi-final. This will take place on Saturday, October 1, in Wexford Park at 1 p.m.

VINTAGE NEWS

The Over the water Vintage Club are holding a Tractor and Car Road Run on Sunday, October 9, in aid of Alzheimers Ireland (Wexford Branch), starting from Screen Village at 12.30 p.m. All support would be greatly appreciated.

PARISH DANCE

The Church of the Assumption are hosting a parish gathering for family and friends near and far on Saturday, October 8, in Hotel Curracloe. Music will be provided by Thomas Maguire and Phiona Ennis. Admission is €10 which includes refreshments and door and spot prizes. Ticket sellers will be calling around to your doors selling tickets in the next few weeks.
