COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €6,000. The winning numbers were 2, 3, 9 and 23. Congratula­tions to the 10 match-three winners who each received €30. The match-three winners were Patrick Power, Paul Walsh, Bernie Power, Peter Kehoe, Margaret Cooney, Suzanne Ellard, Martina Furlong, Paddy McTigue, Paudie Cullen, John and Seán Óg Moore. The next lottery will be held on Tuesday, October 4, and the jackpot now stands at €6,300.

TRX/PILATES CLASSES

TRX Classes take place in the club house every Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30 p.m. and Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9.30 a.m. For further details please contact Kevin Cogley at 086 3656233.

Pilates Classes take place in Cleariesto­wn Community Centre on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bring a mat, towel and drinking water. Cost is €9 and it is recommende­d to book a place. For further details please contact Teresa White at 089 4620552.

TABLE QUIZ

Duncormick Area Action Group and Tidy Towns Committee will hold a table quiz in Sinnott’s Pub on Wednesday, October 12, at 9 p.m. Tables €20. Refreshmen­ts served. Proceeds in aid of river walk developmen­t.

FASTNET ROVERS FC

Fastnet Rovers have seen registrati­ons increase almost 25% and would continue to welcome new players at all levels. All our teams have played their first matches including our new girls’ teams.

GAA GEAR FOR KENYA

Seán Sheridan is a 16-year-old student from Newbridge, Co. Kildare and has made contact with the club to collect GAA memorabili­a (jerseys, shorts, socks, etc.) to bring with him to a homeless children’s charity in Kenya in February 2017. PARISH AED’S

We’re delighted to now have Four AED’s in our parish – Baldwinsto­wn, Cleariesto­wn, Duncormick and Rathangan. They are located at the shop in Baldwinsto­wn; Church in Cleariesto­wn; Former post office in Duncormick and on the school in Rathangan. They’re in a bright yellow box.

Cleariesto­wn Hall Developmen­t Group are holding their AGM on Tuesday, October 18, at 8.30 p.m. in Cleariesto­wn Hall.

TALK ON THE ASGARD

On Friday, October 7, 8 p.m. the Stella Maris Centre will host a talk on the Asgard by Pat Murphy. Pat presents the life of this famous yacht in Irish history from her launch in 1905 to her conservati­on today in Collin’s Barracks Museum. See stellamari­scentre. com for details re: booking. KNITTING/STITCHING SHOW

The Women’s Shed are going to the Knitting and Stitching Show in the RDS on Saturday, October 22. There are some places available on the Bus if anyone is interested in joining them. They plan on stopping for meal on way home. Cost of bus depends on how many travel. Enquiries 087 6315425.

PRESCHOOL/MONTESSORI

The Charity Drive held in Ballymagyr on Sunday, September 4, was a great success. Thanks to all who contribute­d and helped in any way. A grand total of €2,265 was raised for Wexford Hospice Homecare.
