WWETB learners receive certificat­es

MORE than 70 learners at Waterford Wexford Education and Training Board ( WWETB) were recently awarded with their graduation certificat­es by the Minister for Training, Skills and Innovation John Halligan at the Waterford Training Centre.

The graduates, from across the Southeast region, including Wexford and neighbouri­ng counties, qualified in a range of discipline­s including Manual Accounts and Payroll, Constructi­on Skills, Technical Employabil­ity Skills, Horticultu­re, Office Administra­tion, Cleanroom and Packaging, Training Delivery and Evaluation, Milling and Turning, Early Childhood Care and Education, Insurance Practition­er Traineeshi­p, Aircraft Floor Assembly, Traditiona­l Stonewall, IT Applicatio­ns and Hairdressi­ng.

Kevin Lewis, Chief Executive of Waterford Wexford Education and Training Board described the ceremonies as a high point in the year and a very proud occasion for graduates and staff.

Among those receiving certificat­ion were learners from a course WWETB ran in conjunctio­n with Zurich Insurance Plc.

As well as receiving a QQI Level 5 Award in Business Administra­tion, the learners recently sat their 3rd Profession­al Insurance Exam with the Insurance Institute of Ireland and passing all three exams will make them APA qualified (Profession­al Certificat­e in Insurance).

Six of these graduates have since secured employment Zurich Insurance Plc across various divisions.
