DEEPEST SYMPATHY

Stanley was a long standing member of the show committee and had a great love of the show with a special interest in the art and flower sections. He will be sadly missed by the committee. He will be remembered in particular for his radio programme on South East Radio where he promoted the show every August. May he rest in peace.

VINTAGE NEWS

The Vintage Road Run which started in Screen village took place on Sunday, October 9. The run was very well supported by the other vintage clubs and by individual vintage enthusiasts in Co.Wexford. There was a very good turn-out of vintage tractors and cars on the day: The ‘Sunny South East’ lived up to its reputation and the weather was lovely.

All money raised from the road run are in aid of Alzheimers, and it is good to note that this money will stay in Co. Wexford to provide support to Alzheimers sufferers in our local communities. There will be an official handover of all the money raised for the event to the Alzheimers Society. Representatives from the Over the Water Vintage club, Alzheimers, Co. Wexford, and the local Press will be in attendance at that event.

A sincere thank you from the Over the Water Vintage club and Alzheimers Co. Wexford to the Sponsors, all the entrants for the run, the many volunteers (including the Motorbikers and the Catering Ladies) and the local establishments and the community groups. Your sponsorship and support made the day the success it was.
