COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s jackpot of €6,600. The winning numbers were 14, 15, 16 and 18. Congratula­tions to the two match-three winners who each received €150. The matchthree winners were Pat O’Brien and Con Byrne. The next lottery will be held on Tuesday, October 18, and the jackpot now stands at €6,900.

FASTNET ROVERS FC

Fastnet Rovers are now selling tickets for our Christmas Grand prize draw. Tickets are €20 and limited to 300 tickets with the winner receiving €1,000. Tickets are available from the committee, managers and players. This is a key fundraiser for the club and your support is greatly appreciate­d.

MICHAEL ENGLISH

PARISH AED’S

We’re delighted to now have Four AED’s in our parish – Baldwinsto­wn, Cleariesto­wn, Duncormick and Rathangan. They are located at the shop in Baldwinsto­wn; Church in Cleariesto­wn; Former post office in Duncormick and on the school in Rathangan. They’re in a bright yellow box. If you suspect a cardiac arrest please call 999/112 FIRST and then, if you can, your voluntary AED team. We will try our best to respond and our number is 086 4011688. CLEARIESTO­WN AGM

Cleariesto­wn Hall Developmen­t Group are holding their AGM on Tuesday, October 18, at 8.30 p.m. in Cleariesto­wn Hall.

LADIES FOOTBALL/CAMOGIE

The annual general meeting of St Anne’s Ladies’ Football and camogie club will be held on Friday, October 21, in the club Rooms at 8 p.m.

Rathangan parish council would like to thank everyone who supported and helped to make the South East Country Music Festival a great success and we are looking forward to next year’s festival. More details to follow.

CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP

Camross Drama Group is looking forward to entertaini­ng the audience in Rathangan hall on Friday, October 21, at 8 p.m. with their three One-act plays. A great night of comedy and drama for only €10 on door.

CLOTHING COLLECTION

Cleariesto­wn Community Playgroup will be having a Fundraisin­g used clothing collection on Monday, November 14. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes also bed linen, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. Old mobile phones will also be accepted. You can drop off any items at the playschool any weekday morning between 9.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

TABLE QUIZ

There is a fun table quiz in aid of Senior Citizens Party in Sammy’s Duncormick on Friday, November 4.

COMMUNITY ALERT

An open meeting re Rathangan-Duncormick Community Alert will take place on Thursday, October 27, at 8 p.m. in Rathangan Hall. Registered members and new members are welcome on the night to air their views and concerns and ask questions on the night as we head into yet another winter. See you all there on the night. Most important you attend this meeting.

Wexford Motorclub would sincerely like to thank the residents who allowed us complete our two-day Wexford Volkswagen Stages Rally on the weekend of September 10/11. Your cooperatio­n is very much appreciate­d and it helped us run a very successful event.
