CAKES FOR LAUNCH OF WEBSITE

-

ST MARGARET’S National School, Curracloe, was an even more industrious place than usual last week, when a number of events took place as part of the school’s commitment to continual development.

A cake sale, organised by the parents’ association, took place and parents, students and those with a sweet tooth went along to enjoy home-baked treats. All proceeds will go towards updating resources and facilities in the school.

On the same day, the school launched its new, improved website at www.curracloens.ie

Each class now has its own dedicated blog page that is updated regularly with all of the activity from the classroom. The website offers a fully responsive solution for desktops, mobiles and tablets meaning that it can be easily accessed whether at home or on the go. All the new features of the website were presented on the day by the school’s fifth and sixth class students.

School principal Emer McCrea said: ‘It is very important that we keep progressing and improving our school. Our new website is not only one such improvement but is a channel to allow us to make further improvements. Thanks has to go to all those who worked on it, especially to Mrs Byrne for managing the project.

‘I would like to thank also the parents’ association for organising the cake sale and all those who baked for the event.’
