I plan to make resolutions all year round!

THE FIRST resolution is to not have any resolutions that only take place in January, but all year round! Above all else I’d like to think I will have more fun, laugh more and be grateful for the great friends and family that I have.

I think I get a lot of things covered in a year, so maybe this year I will focus more on just simply enjoying them. For my role in the Wexford RNLI I will work on sharing the message about what the lifeboat is about and who is involved, as many are unaware that we are 100% charity and 100% run by volunteers.

For my role as a director of the Wexford Maritime Festival I will work on a very new and exciting change this year that will hopefully put the festival on a greater national stage – more to come!

Now down to my real New Year resolutions. After a few years of trying to get a lifeboat team to participate in a triathlon, i will try to just do one myself, and hopefully drag some crew along.

I’d like to spend more time in nature with my daughter and our dog and look at my phone and social media a lot less. Of course read more books, take up a new pilates class and so on.

But as resolution one stated, I hope to be able to continously take up new resolutions throughout the year and hope that everyone gets a new start in 2017 to enjoy the things we have that are good in life
