Trio have recipe for healthy heart

-

A Wexford duo have teamed up with a renowned nutrition and sports psychology expert to produce a healthy heart supplement for the Irish and global market.

Geopathic stress consultant Brendan Murphy from Bunclody and architect Stephen Carr who designed the 5-star Monart Destination Spa have joined forces with the Waterford-based nutritiionist and hypnotherapist David Burke to form a company called Celtic Nutrition.

The firm’s first product is Body Balance for a Healthy Heart, a supplement which has a balance of vitamins, minerals and oils and has been developed over a number of years to produce a quality product that is devoid of fillers of bulking agents.

The feedback from customers has been so encouraging that the company is planning a clinical study to definitely and independently prove its efficacy .Enterprise Ireland has also been quick to spot the export potential and one of the team has been accepted onto the coveted New Frontiers enterprise programme.

The trio have all worked together at various stages of their careers. David Burke abandoned modern medicine to follow his passion for natural therapies. He said Celtic Nutrition decided to release the Healthy Heart product first because of the high number of deaths from heart disease. He finalised the ingredients and how they should be extracted.

‘My own sister developed heart disease, even though she didn’t smoke, wasn’t overweight and there’s no history of heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol or blood pressure in our family. She was on 28 tablets before she started taking the supplement. She began taking it daily and within three months she was off 22 of her medications’, he said.

‘We’ve seen some amazing transformations, even in people with no underlying heart issues who are taking Body Balance for a Healthy Heart as a preventative measure. People who’ve taken it say they have more energy or it has improved their memory. The key to heart health is nitric oxide – the stuff that dissolves the ‘gunk’ in your blood. Healthy Heart has helped lots of my clients and others who’ve bought it in their health store or pharmacy. I’m confident the clinical study will back up what we’ve seen,’ said David.

‘We’ve received glowing testimonials from people who have used it. They’re experiencing everything from the expected clinical improvements in heart function but also greater energy levels and increased brain function,’ said Brendan.
